Robert Meepos was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and gained experience at a large, regional CPA firm. After getting his certification, he went to work at his brother’s small CPA practice where he quickly took the helm, bought out his brother and built the firm to where it is today. Robert continued to pursue his education with Post Graduate studies in taxation at Golden Gate University. Clients value his knowledge in a wide range of areas including real estate, entertainment industry, estate planning, and business consulting.

For over 30 years he has dedicated his practice to loyal clients, serving the community with pride and integrity. Robert has a balanced life in which he is passionate about his business, family and friends. Robert is also an avid hiker, bike rider, and food enthusiast.

Larry McGrane was raised and educated in Texas earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas and a Masters in Business Administration from North Texas State University. Larry has been the accounting and tax manager of Meepos and Company since 1999. He previously held an esteemed position at BDO Seidman as an auditor then worked for five years as controller for British Petroleum.

Larry’s extensive experience in auditing, corporate tax, estate tax and accounting engagements distinguishes him in the accounting field. He is devoted to his work and provides the highest level of quality service to the firm’s clients.

Outside of the office, Larry enjoys golfing, writing and spending quality time with his friends and family.

Jennifer is truly a “homegrown” Meepos & Company team member. She started working in 1990 as a part-time office clerk eventually rising to firm administrator and then set her sights on an accounting career. She attended Pepperdine University earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and eventually worked her way up to her present position of senior accounting associate.

Jennifer has a diversified client base in industries such as TV & Film Production, advertising and printing. Additionally, she is proficient with QuickBooks/ Quicken software and has exhibited a passion and understanding of her client’s diverse businesses. Jennifer is involved with various women’s networking groups and frequently attends local and national educational seminars to keep abreast of the ever-changing accounting and tax standards.

On the outside, she devotes her time to her adorable pugs and is a food and wine connoisseur. She is also an avid Lakers and Dodger fan and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

A lifelong Southern California resident, Travis brings a unique blend of professional accounting and tax expertise coupled with “real-life” experience. Travis began his career at Meepos & Company in 1997 after obtaining his degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara. During his tenure at Meepos he also owned and oversaw the operations of two restaurant/bars and a Christmas tree farm in Santa Barbara County. Travis offers his expertise in real estate taxation, small business, and hospitality business consulting.

Although Travis has divested himself of his outside business interests, his hands-on, real life experience make him an invaluable resource for the firm’s clients. In addition to his busy professional schedule he enjoys horseback riding, sailing and golfing.

Natalia became a member of the Meepos & Company staff in 2007. Hailing all the way from Krasnoyarsk, Russia (Siberia!) she holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, Moscow. She is presently pursuing her U.S. accounting degree and demonstrates an astute financial ability.

Natalia applies her sharp organizational skills in several areas ranging from bookkeeping and accounting to heading the Meepos team in converting to a state-of-the-art paperless system. Her determination exceeds expectations and she does not quit until she gets the job done right.

Beyond the office, Natalia loves jazz music and takes part in myriad cultural arts. When you can tear her away from her work, you might find her rollerblading or achieving a harmonious state practicing yoga.

A longtime veteran of the Meepos & Company staff, Horacio has been providing reliable accounting services to his clients since 1982. Horacio was born and raised in the Philippines where he received his practical training and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of East Manila, Philippines. His longstanding experience with tax and accounting is applied in many industries such as manufacturing, retail, and professional services.

In Horacio’s free time, he devotedly goes to family events and every now and again belts out some good karaoke tunes.

Sherry, a Montreal, Canadian native relocated to the South Bay and joined Meepos & Company in 1991 as a part-time bookkeeper. Her 30 years of bookkeeping experience makes her an invaluable asset to the firm. Her responsibilities consist of overseeing the accounting department and operating as the company’s financial controller. Moreover, she is proficient with QuickBooks and Quicken and has over 15 years of tax preparation experience.

When not at work, you might find Sherry biking along the beach or playing mahjong with her friends. Sherry spends much time with her family and is actively involved with the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The most recent addition to Meepos & Company is Charli Russell, who joined the firm in 2008 after having relocated from Texas. Charli was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and minored in Management at Sam Houston State University. Charli is probably the first voice you will hear greeting you on the phone at Meepos & Company. Her helpfulness in assisting accountants and clients is evidence of her positive attitude and she is an indispensible part of the team.

Charli’s big heart is not only directed at people but also to the many animals that she loves. When she is not in the office, her pastimes consist of playing volleyball, bike riding, boxing and keeping a close relationship with her family.

Sarah was born and raised in Southern California and attended the University of California, Los Angeles where she received a Bachelors of Letters and Science degree in History and a minor in Political Science. Sarah joined Meepos & Company in 2007 as an administrative assistant and quickly catapulted to become the firms administrator. Sarah is responsible for client work scheduling, due date control maintenance, and the complete gambit of administrative duties necessary to make the firm run so smoothly. Sarah’s efficiency and innate organizational skills are the perfect blend with her people-oriented personality.

When Sarah’s not in the office, she enjoys various outdoor activities including rollerblading, snowboarding, lounging at the beach, and even skydiving. Mostly though, she enjoys sharing her free time with her family and friends.

Aaron joined Meepos & Company in 2003 and has since played a fundamental role in helping clients with their tax and accounting needs. He attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley (Haas School of Business). Aaron passed the CPA exam scoring the highest possible score on several of the sections. Upon graduating, he worked in the financial department of Lions Gate Films gaining experience in the entertainment business. Aaron’s expertise in real estate taxation and small business accounting makes him an invaluable resource to the firm’s clients.

Aaron is our resident double agent, a CPA-by-day and a “Rock Star”-by-night. He performs through Southern California as guitarist and vocalist with his tribute cover band, The Zone. His other hobbies include bike riding, surfing, and especially cheering on the CAL Bears football team.

In addition to our permanent staff, Meepos & Company regularly contracts with outside professionals such as bookkeepers, accountants, pension advisors and tax consultants to help with our client’s work. We have longstanding relationships with professionals experienced in many different industries.
